2014-15 SEASON (Minnesota): Wrapped up his rookie season on a high note, tallying 18.7 ppg (43.6%), 4.9 rpg and 5.3 apg while starting 17 of the final 18 contests (38.5 mpg)… Appeared in 77 games overall, including 40 starts; he missed two games (Jan. 31-Feb. 2) with a sprained left ankle and drew three DNP-CDs… Averaged 10.1 ppg, 2.8 rpg and 3.6 apg in 24.7 mpg, shooting 42.2% from the field, 34.1% from three-point range and 84.2% from the line (good for 30th in the NBA)… Led Minnesota in assists 18 times and was the top scorer on seven occasions; he had 10 20+ point efforts among his 32 double-digit scoring nights… Led all scorers with 37 points Apr. 11 at Golden State, breaking the franchise rookie single-game record previously held by Christian Laettner (35 vs. Boston, Dec. 15, 1992)… The nine rebounds at Golden State were also a season best, while the six three-pointers matched a club rookie mark… Rang up four point/assist double-doubles, totaling 19 points and 13 assists in the Apr. 15 finale vs. Oklahoma City, and adding 21 points and 11 assists Apr. 7 at Sacramento… Led all scorers with 27 points Mar. 23 at Utah, going 5-for-6 from beyond the arc… Tallied a game-high 22 points in the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge on Feb. 13, as part of All-Star Weekend in New York; he then won the Sprite Slam Dunk contest on Feb. 14… Dished 14 assists Dec. 27 at Golden State, tying the 3rd-highest total ever by a Wolves rookie, and swiped a season-high four steals Jan. 1 vs. Sacramento… Led Minnesota with 22 points and 10 assists Dec. 6 at San Antonio, and scored 28 points Nov. 28 at the L.A. COLLEGE NOTES: Spent one season at UCLA… 2013-14: Saw action in all 37 games as a freshman, helping UCLA put together a 28-9 record and reach the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament… Averaged 9.4 ppg, 2.5 rpg and 1.8 apg in 24.4 mpg, shooting 44.1% from the floor and 37.5% (48-for-128) from three-point range… Named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team… Made his lone start in the Feb. 27 double-OT game vs. Oregon, totaling 18 points, a season-high eight rebounds and five assists in 48 minutes… Tallied a season-high 21 points (on 7-for-9 shooting) Nov. 28 vs. Nevada, and followed up with 18 points (again hitting 7-for-9 from the floor) the next night vs. Northwestern to earn All-Tournament honors at the Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational… Chipped in 19 points vs. Arizona State on Jan. 12 and dealt a season-high six assists vs. Stanford on Jan. 23… Opened the season 19-for-34 (55.9%) from beyond the arc in his first eight outings.

 

HIGH SCHOOL NOTES: Three-year varsity basketball letter winner at Bothell H.S. (Bothell, Wash.)… Named the 2013 A.P. Washington state player of the year as a senior, after averaging 28.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game… Earned Class 4A all-state honors, in addition to being named the state’s “Mr. Basketball” by the Washington Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association in March 2013… Helped guide Bothell to a 21-5 overall record and 13-1 league mark in 2012-13… As a junior (2011-12), led Bothell to the Class 4A state playoffs and averaged 23.0 points per game… As a sophomore (2010-11), registered 25.9 points per game… Was ranked No. 27 nationally in his high school class by Scout.com in the fall of 2012… Also was ranked No. 51 overall by ESPN.com… Was listed as the No. 1 shooting guard on the West Coast by Scout.com and the No. 6 point guard nationally by Scout.com… Listed as the No. 1 high school senior in the state of Washington by ESPN.com and the No. 6 player on the West Coast by ESPN.com.
